Teresa Sartor

Registered Psychologist (telehealth only)

Hi, I’m Teresa.

I’m a Registered Psychologist with over eight years’ experience in perinatal mental health and a special interest in reproductive mental health. I feel very privileged to support women and couples through the many different experiences that can come with trying to build a family, including infertility, fertility treatment and IVF, pregnancy loss, pregnancy after loss, and alternative pathways to parenthood.

I also support women through pregnancy, the transition to parenthood and the early parenting years, including those experiencing perinatal anxiety and depression, birth trauma, parenting challenges, grief and loss. More broadly, I work with women experiencing anxiety, stress and significant life transitions.

I know that reaching out for support often comes at a time when life feels particularly difficult or uncertain. My hope is to provide a warm and compassionate space where you feel genuinely heard and understood. I see therapy as something we do together, and my approach is collaborative and practical, tailored to you and what you need at that point in your life.

I draw primarily on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), together with attachment-informed, grief-informed and trauma-informed approaches.

I have completed specialised training in reproductive and perinatal mental health through the University of Sydney, the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), the Seleni Institute and the Centre of Perinatal Excellence (COPE). I’m also a Circle of Security Facilitator and am currently completing Board-approved supervisor training.
