An 8-week women’s therapy group for women who are emotionally exhausted from carrying too much for too long

Are you the one who keeps everything going, but feels depleted underneath?

Enough is a supportive, therapist-led group for women who are tired of holding it all together while feeling overwhelmed, self-critical, disconnected from their own needs, or stretched too thin.

This program is designed to help women better understand their patterns, respond to overwhelm earlier, build healthier boundaries, and develop practical tools for coping with emotional load in a more sustainable way.

The program

Week 1: Welcome and understanding “holding too much” | 90mins

We’ll start by creating a safe, supportive space where everyone knows what to expect. Together, we’ll explore what it feels like to be carrying too much for too long, and why that exhaustion makes sense. You’ll map out what’s currently on your plate and where it shows up in your body and life. We’ll also learn a couple of simple techniques to help you feel calmer and more steady right away.

Week 2: Quieting the inner critic | 90mins

This week focuses on that harsh inner voice many of us live with. You’ll learn to spot self-critical
thoughts and understand how they can spiral into feelings of shame or stress. We’ll introduce a more supportive, compassionate way of talking to yourself — and practise how to use it in real moments, not just in theory.

Week 3: The mental load and sharing the weight | 90mins

We’ll take a closer look at the “invisible” tasks you carry — planning, remembering, organising — and how they add up. You’ll explore patterns around taking on too much responsibility and practise asking for help more clearly. We’ll also talk about the uncomfortable feelings (like guilt) that can come with letting go of control, and how to handle them.

Week 4: Catching overwhelm early | 90mins

This week is about noticing the early warning signs of stress before things boil over. You’ll build practical tools to calm your mind and body, and create your own plan for managing overwhelm at home or work. We’ll also look at how small, regular moments of rest can make a big difference.

Week 5: Boundaries basics | 90mins

We’ll explore what healthy boundaries really are (and what they’re not). You’ll identify where you might need stronger boundaries —  like with your time, energy, or communication — and practise simple, respectful ways to express them. We’ll also prepare for the reality that setting boundaries can feel uncomfortable at first.

Week 6: Moving beyond people-pleasing | 90mins

This session helps you understand people-pleasing as something you learned for a reason — not a personal flaw. You’ll notice your own patterns and practise pausing before automatically saying “yes.” Together, we’ll plan a small, real-life experiment so you can try responding differently and see what happens.

Week 7: Reconnecting with who you are | 90mins

We’ll explore the roles and expectations that may be keeping you stuck in overdoing or overgiving. You’ll reflect on what really matters to you and how rest and boundaries can support the life you want. We’ll also talk about how change can feel uncomfortable —  and how to move through that with kindness toward yourself.

Week 8: Bringing it all together | 90mins

In our final week, we’ll reflect on what you’ve learned and what’s been most helpful. You’ll create a personalised plan to support yourself moving forward, especially during challenging times. We’ll also focus on building support around you and ending the group in a positive, grounded way.

By the end of the program, you may have a deeper understanding of the patterns that keep you overwhelmed, greater self-compassion with less harsh self-judgment, clearer boundaries and more confidence expressing your needs, stronger insight into people-pleasing, over-functioning, and emotional burnout, and a renewed connection with yourself.
