Mindful Parenting

Respond with greater calm, confidence and connection in our 8-week online psychology group for parents.

Parenting can be deeply meaningful—and deeply demanding. Mindful Parenting helps you recognise your triggers, regulate strong emotions and respond to your child with greater calm, clarity and connection.

You’ll experience:

  • Guided mindfulness practices
  • Compassion and emotional regulation skills
  • Understanding how stress affects parenting
  • Supportive small-group discussions
  • Weekly home practices

The program

Week 1 — Automatic Parenting

Becoming aware of parenting on “automatic pilot” and recognising stress reactions before they become reactivity.

Week 2 — Beginner’s Mind Parenting

Learning to see ourselves and our children with openness, curiosity, and kindness rather than through labels or assumptions.

Week 3 — Reconnecting with the Body

Developing awareness of bodily sensations, emotions, and nervous system responses during parenting interactions.

Week 4 — Responding Instead of Reacting

Understanding stress responses and learning how mindfulness creates space between emotion and action.

Week 5 — How Your Experiences Shape Your Parenting

Exploring how our own childhood experiences and relational patterns can shape the way we parent today.

Week 6 — Conflict, Rupture & Repair

Learning to navigate conflict with greater awareness, emotional attunement, and relational repair.

Week 7 — Love, Compassion & Healthy Limits

Cultivating self-compassion and emotional connection while learning to set boundaries with presence and clarity.

Week 8 — A Mindful Path Through Parenting

Reflecting on the journey, consolidating learning, and integrating mindful parenting into everyday life moving forward.
